I had used another brand always before, and ended up trying this one out. I used to have to scrub with a metal brush. This stuff seems to melt the oil stain off the driveway and i have to scrub way less. It doesn’t leave any residue after washing off with water.
Cleans everything from car engine grease to stovetops. Excellent product, but provide ventilation when using indoors – strong chemical smell. Ordered 5 gallons when price was $5. 49/gallon in january, 2017 – so i’m set for a few years. Only problem, as others have mentioned, is shippers are complete idiots – packed without any protection – all 5 containers leaked inside box. Not too much, but enough to render labels illegible.
I bought this stuff to clean some machine parts. My wife managed to “ruin” a pair of new jeans, helping some friends cut back saplings on their property. Pine tar/sap, ground and dried in to denim (cotton); her friends assured her it was a done deal. I soaked her jeans in hot water, using 5:1 dilution of purple power. Admittedly, i soaked them a little too long, perhaps 2 hours, and they faded a couple of shades, but it completely removed the pine tar. I’m sure i’ve tossed plenty of clothing items that could have been salvaged with this product.
I used 2/3 c of purple power combined with 1/2 c rug shampoo in my hoover carpet cleaning machine. The carpet is 10 years old and had some bad stains on it (beige carpet). Previous concoctions did not work. Purple power cleaned and removed stains. Will experiment on other cleaning chores.
I bought a house that had oil stains on the stone driveway and back porch. I used this in some hot water and scrubbed with brush, washed it off with the hose and the stains are gone. I’ve bought a few mosin nagant’s (old surplus rifles) and they come packed in cosmoline. That stuff is not fun to clean off. But i have long tub and i stuck all the steel parts into it, throw some boiling water on them with this cleaner, let it sit until i can actually touch it. And all it takes after that is a little bit of scrubbing and you’re done.
If you’re debating making the purchase, do it and you won’t regret it. Used it on the engine bay of a 2002 mercury that the previous owner probably never washed and it literally looks brand new. Took off all the dirt, but no worry of destroying labels.
We use this stuff to get the asphalt residue off the exterior of the aluminum bed. Let it soak for a few minutes, brush, and rinse.
Do not use on bare aluminum like your harley or polished wheels it will etch and stain it bad. Works very well just be careful with it. I use it to de-grease automotive parts, wheels, bugs on the front of my cars.

We use this for many applications around the house. Every spring we use this to clean the under-side of all the vehicles in our fleet. Also use this for other automotive applications. And, at full strength, this item will clean *everything* that might accumulate on all the parts in your barbecue grill.
I use purple power to clean tiles and grout in shower. I had been using baking soda and a little bleach that also worked great. But, the baking soda and bleach has a very strong odor. This is a much safer option.
It’s name says it all, purple poweri have used this on many items around my kitchen, hubby loves it in the garage for his car repairs. You only need a little for it to work. Especially if you don’t dilute it. I put some in a spray bottle and sprayed my stove top and the oven, waited a few minutes and wiped it off. I’m in shock how quickly and how much grease was taken off. Hubby uses it diluted with water and places his work tools. After a few minutes, rinses them and they are shining clean. He also has used them on our car dirty rims and have come out nice and shiny clean. Overall, i’m impressed and purchasing more, one for the kitchen and the other in the garage.
I have used it to clean stains that no other cleaner would remove. Carefully tested it on car interior first, then was amazed how grease, coffee stains, lipstick stains easily came clean. I had a small spray bottle of this and saved the bottle to use with this. I diluted with water on a rag and sprayed tiny amount for car interior. Also removed water stains and old soap stains from a shower enclosure.
Using this to clean my garage floor. It is every bit as good as stated by other reviewers. Just spray it full strength on a tough stain, let it set for 3-5 minutes, smack it with a scrub brush (doesn’t take much effort) and rinse off. If a little bit of stain remains (unlikely) just hit it a second time.
It works great for cleaning up things like mowers, trimmers, and general shop work. Wished i’d found this years ago. My string mower and trimmer look like brand new after a season of brush cutting. It works a lot better than simple green.
The pavers in my driveway have been stained for nearly two years after a leaky oil pan. A bit of the purple power, a quick scrub with a broom, and my hose set to stream literally left it spotless.
Used this to clean my tile floors. This product does awesome on the grout lines when i use it with my oreck orbital cleaner. This was also much less expensive that the local products. I highly recommend it to anyone needing to clean their floors.
Amazing stuff , spilled red wine all over a bar stool beige cloth cover. Use purple in spray bottle wipe down chair overnight dried stain gone. Used on boat white vinyl interior , removed discolor easily.
This product was recommended by a friend. It met every expectation for cleaning the mold growing on the siding of our home. We used it in our pressure washer.
This stuff goes a long ways and though i’m only a shade tree mechanic i do work with a lot of dirty, greasy & oily things and my hands end up looking the same way. I do all my own vehicle repairs on my older truck and suv plus all the work on the various types of equipment it takes for a few acres of property. This does a pretty good job loosening crud so it comes off with rags and wire brushes and it did a good job cleaning out the engine bay in my truck after i removed an oil spitting mess of an engine. I use it for everything from my hands to cleanings carbs and since it’s a concentrate i get a lot of mileage out of it for the price. It gets a lot of use on my lawn tractor since everything seems to stick to it and most of my equipment have some sort of oil leakage or spillage through the summer so i clean them off before storage.
